Wild Alaska - Local resident, Merlin Little recently returned from a 9-week adventure in Alaska. He will share his slide show presentation highlighting a mountain goat hunt and the rugged adventures that took place in their pursuits...just like the old "World Adventure Series" with George Pierot.

Wolves of the Great Lakes Region -
The habitat for wolves and the wolf population is currently protected by law. Learn how the wolves and their unique likeness to human family structure and the continued peril that endangers their life and habitat. Mike Cromley, member of the Speakers Bureau for the Timberwolf Alliance will present the program. In addition the newly released "Lords of Nature" documentary is available at the library.

The Uncommon Loon - Facing Many challenges today, this beautiful bird currently a threatened species spends part of its life on the lakes of northern Michigan. Learn about the common Loon as presented by Jeff Lange of The Michigan Loon Preservation Association. The documentary, "The Uncommon Loon" will be shown as well.

Raptors of the North - Northwings of See-North will present an interactive program and showing of raptors who live in northern Michigan and provide a better understanding about their migration, behavior, and stewardship. Learn about which raptors are commonly seen or heard in your area.

Wildlife Rehabilitation at Hazel Ridge Farms - Robbyn and Gijsbert van Frakenhuyzen, renowned author and illustrator of the Legend series are also licensed wildlife rehabilitators who have spent over 20 years rehabilitating orphaned or injured animals including foxes, fawns and raccoons to skunks, opossums and owls. They will share their heartwarming personal stories and experiences in the care and handling of injured and orphaned animals.
